6th Framework Programme
Formation & Workshop in Sibiu

Formation & Workshop in Sibiu

ProBioPol has investigated the technical and economical potential for large-scale biogas polygeneration in the whole of Romania. The conclusion: nearly ideal conditions for the use of industrial biogas from fermentable wastes. Even if less than a tenth of the theoretically available potential is realized, the biogas contribution could be 11% of the national RES electricity targets. A key target of ProBioPol is to explain to interested groups the advantages, potentials and employment oppertunities of the combined production of electricity, heating and cooling from biogas.

ProBioPol consortium implemented two high quality events for the presentation, dissemination and discussion of know-how and project results in March 2009 in Sibiu, Romania.
